Today Volvo introduced the worlds first forward facing IO drive. The twin forward facing counter rotating propellors is a technology which Volvo patented years ago. However the technology had only been available on their POD drive systems. Today that all changes. The new technology in drives will allow for a 20-30% increase in efficiency over the traditional drives. An exciting development in Inboard/Outboard drives and one that we will be following and discussing more in the coming days.
